Modi To Meet Franchise Owners On Sunday

ImageIndian Premier League Chief Lalit Modi has decided to meet all the franchise owners on Sunday as the new dates for the second season of the tournament are to be finalised.

Modi is scheduled to meet the owners of all the eight teams to notify them the dates and schedule of the event. The lucrative Indian Premier League has a total of eight teams where each team represents a state.

The teams are last year’s champions Rajasthan Royals (owned by Emerging Media Group in collaboration with Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty), Delhi Daredevils (owned by GMR Group), Mumbai Indians (owned by Mukesh Ambani), Chennai Super Kings (owned by India Cements), Kolkata Knight Riders (owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla), Kings XI Punjab (owned by Ness Wadia and Preity Zinta), Hyderabad Deccan Chargers (owned by the Deccan Chronicle group) and Bangalore Royal Challengers (owned by liquor baron Vijay Mallya).
